Our Approach

Luna oers Neapolitan pizza, exciting appetizers, terrific desserts, and a full bar in the lovingly-restored former Coca-Cola bottling plant in Uptown Greenville, NC. We use the finest ingredient available, many of them local. The building has eye-popping architectural detail and provides a lovely setting for a wonderful dining experience.

Our Story

Our mission is that a visit to Luna to be the best hour or two of your day. To that end, we endeavor to provide outstanding service and delicious, fresh, and healthy food. Richard and John, Luna’s owners, trained in Italy to learn to make authentic Neapolitan pizza, and we hold ourselves to high standards. Our values include authenticity, sophistication, fun, and value.

Meet the Team

The management team at Luna shares much in common with each other, but perhaps most importantly, they both share a mission to bring top-notch dining experiences to the fine people of eastern North Carolina.


Richard Williams


Richard has had a lifetime passion for food. After retiring from an 17-year academic career at East Carolina University, Richard traveled to Italy to train at the Bivero Pizza Academy and to
work in the kitchen of Pizzeria ZeroZero in Florence Italy. There he earned the title of Pizzaiolo, Richard is excited to bring terrific, authentic pizza to eastern NC.



John Jefferson

General Manager & Director of Development
With 12 years in the industry, John brings a wealth of experience to the table. Like Richard, John trained at the Bivero Pizza Academy in Italy. With a devotion to customer satisfaction and
extremely high standards, John ensures Luna stays focused on its mission.
